Monday blues and you do not know what exactly what to wear? Welp, I have something for you!
A month ago I could not figure out what to wear. Plus, the weather kept constantly changing from hot to cold day to day. So, I looked online for weather appropriate tips and I came across this website called, Daily Dress Me. It amazing because it gives you the weather and outfit ideas. The great part is you can search the city you are in and as you refresh the page it gives you multiple outfit ideas.
I love this website and its Instagram is cute too! Do not worry boys, you can switch to men’s outfits too! Also, you can change the temperature settings from Celsius and Fahrenheit.
I am always on the hunt for a next great exhibition coming up and I finally came a upon a new fashion exhibition! The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be showcasing Masterworks: Unpacking Fashion and it will open Friday, Nov. 18th.
This is a special exhibition because the gowns and clothing on display are designers’ representations of art. I am really excited to see how it is curated and to learn how these designers changed the art world through fashion. I know some people think fashion isn’t an art form, but they are wrong. Fashion is a sector of art and a way to express the culture and world we live today. I am pretty confident that once everyone goes to this exhibition they will have a better understanding as fashion as an art form.
Make sure you attend The Met and the exhibition lasts until Sunday, Feb. 5th.
Have you done your voter application yet?? Well…today it is due! Make sure you send it in because your vote counts!
Also, hope you enjoy the photo of the White House I took a couple of weeks ago!
Last week was just a whirlwind and all the news featuring new collaborations is just too hot to handle!
First, let’s start with Eddie Borgo x Tiffany & Co. and it will be a time capsule collection about sculpture Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney. It will be coming out Dec. 1 and to learn more read Vogue‘s article, “Eddie Borgo Introduces His Fine-Jewelry Line for Tiffany & Co.” by Emma Elwick-Bates. This article is also featured on Vogue’s latest issue too, so make sure you grab your coffee today and get ready for your early Christmas shopping!
However, if you are not familiar with Borgo, he is known for his sleek, modern architectural jewelry pieces to his classic handbags. Some of you will know him from his summer 2015 Target collaboration or recognize his pieces worn by the iconic angels during the previous Victoria Secret 2014 and 2015 Fashion Shows.
Speaking of Target collaborations, Business of Fashion‘s Lauren Sherman exclusively announced the Target x Victoria Beckham collaboration out April 9, 2017, online and in-stores. This is another exciting collaboration because it will feature apparel and accessories for women and children. Remember, this will be a limited-edition collection, so make sure to add this to your calendar too!
Excitement is definitely in the air and let the collaborations keep coming!
Time is ticking and Kenzo x H&M will be here soon, Thursday, Nov. 3 and the its next collaboration is well announced by Vogue.com. Surprise! H&M will be having a new art collaboration with American artist, Alex Katz and it will come out Dec. 1. His work will be feature into men, women and home collections.
I think this is a great idea for H&M to continue to collab with artists because it will allow art fans and fashionistas a chance to own great works. I cannot wait to see which type of artworks he will be using for each of these collections. Maybe, his iconic painting, “The Red Smile” (1927) will be used on a sweatshirt or on a shirt. We shall wait an see this great fashion and art collaboration soon!
I apologize for my lack of absence and this year has been so hectic with school. Now, I am officially on summer break and I want to continue my writings about art and fashion. So far, I am revamping the kcmhappyfashion blog and I will soon announce when it is finished. However, the original kcmhappy does have a new format and I hope you enjoy.
Thank you for your patience and support still following both blogs!
Happy New Years! The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog. Thank you for everyone for visiting my site and wish everyone a great 2016 to come!
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,700 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 28 trips to carry that many people.

A famous all-American artist, Frank Stella is gracing his masterpieces in the Whitney Museum of American Art. This is a must-see exhibition because his works are minimalism and abstraction. They continue to inspire other artists and onlookers around the world. The popular exhibition opened Oct. 30, 2015 and lasts until Feb. 7, 2016.
This is next on my list of exhibitions to attend before winter break and I cannot wait to see what is in-store.
Museum of Modern Art [MoMa] opens a new exhibition, Picasso Sculpture going through February 7, 2016. The exhibition features sculptures from Pablo Picasso and is the first one in years.
Visitors will experience seeing the transition of Picasso’s sculptures and witness the art stages he went through.
Friday nights are free to the public during 4-8 p.m. and it is a great chance to see the rest of MoMa.
I just wanted to let you know I am creating a sub-blog, specifically for fashion. I noticed how kcmhappy has shifted more to art rather than being a cohesive balance between art and fashion. The original blog, kcmhappy will be dedicated to art and the other is fashion.
The fashion blog is called kcmhappyfashion and the link is kcmhappyfashion.wordpress.com.
I hope you enjoy and please look out for my first post on kcmhappyfashion!
